How this works

When your payment goes through, three things happen on your behalf.

  1. A draft email for you to send. We prepare a message you can review, personalize and send to the family from your own address. It appears on the confirmation screen, and we can email it to you to forward.
  2. A free memorial wall link for the family. They can add a photo and their own words, and publish to the Legacy Wall, at no cost to them.
  3. An optional sympathy card by mail. If you ask for one, we mail it to the family with your hospital as the return address.

Your gift also gives the family an opportunity — never an obligation — to support their regional Veterinary Care Fund. We recognize that they are your client, and we communicate with care.

Suggested contribution: $25 per memorial. One gift covers every pet in a submission, split evenly between them.

Privacy & confidentiality

This program is built to protect everyone involved — you, your client, and their pet’s memory.

  • Nothing is public without consent. No information appears on the Legacy Wall until the pet owner approves it.
  • Mailing details are never kept. If you ask us to send a card, the name and address are used solely to mail it, then deleted from our records. We act as your agent in handling that confidential information.
  • Easy, secure access for owners. Families get a password-less link they can return to whenever they wish. It does not expire.
  • Respectful follow-up. If an owner chooses to contribute or opt in for updates, they hear from us no more than twice a year.

Tax receipt

NYSVMS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. A receipt is emailed once your donation is processed.
